TDS vs RP (3): Heresy vs Phoenix Another hard one. Probably the biggest scream from Reznot to God, along with “Terrible lie”. Valid for me as a fallen Catholic. Valid for me because I have some Gods that are not here.     “your God is dead”  (unfortunately)    “and no one cares”  (well, I still caring)    “if there is a Hell I will see you there“  (for sure!) TDS vs RP (1): Mr. Self Destruct vs Phoenix The Downward Spiral is my fav album and I’m in that mood (and hearing it in non-stop loop) so I’m gonna start a series of posts, part of my Phoenix vs Reznor, one song vs him or a character/movie. Just one post per day ‘cause if I do more it can be… too much ;-) But hey, there would be happy ones too (“Closer”, “Big man with a gun”, “A warm place”).     I am the high you can’t sustain            and I control you    I am the need you have for more        and I control you    I am the truth from which you run        and I control you    I am the end of all your dreams          and I control you    You let me do this to you                     I am an exit This one is probably one of the hardest (lyrics and sound) and I think it totally fits him (dark sides). Some of you disagree with me in this Mr. Self Destruct image, but I really think it was a part of him, and maybe if he would have embraced in a better way, instead of so much denial, everything would have been better. This song also fits amazingly Mr. Cobain (the gun part I don’t include here). All Mr. Self Destructs, I suppose. Yes, he was an angel but a fallen one, the eternal angel/devil duality, or Gabriel/Lucifer as Bukowski would say. He was the most beautiful angel and we all know which angel is that. This ended more “religious” that I expected (the pic, not the comment, kinda sacred sheet texture or something, but I also love TDS art. Phoenix vs Reznor (30): First times And talking about headcanons, now this post. We almost don’t know a shit about Phoenix “first important one”. She was older (19). She was a friend of the family. It happened during “Stand by me” filming. He sent a note to Joe Dante (awwww). And for sure she taught him veeery well. We even know less about Reznor: the man is even more discrete. I mean, when he said “I’m engaged, I’m gonna marry”  NIN-fanbase general reaction was “Who? Rob?” ‘cause we didn’t know about MQ xD But I remember I spent some time talking with another nin-girl in LJ, analyzing PHM lyrics, and we agreed in that his first time, at least the first that matters, was also being quite young and probably with an older woman (a forbidden one? we don’t know). But since TR is who he is, I suppose I’ll have to wait until his death for reading about that in biographies. And since this man is gonna live forever (thanks God! or Satan! or whatever!) or at least more than me, for sure, I suppose I will never know. If you know more info about this topic (RP, TR or both) is welcome. Trent: you can tell me too: I’ll keep the secret. Phoenix vs Reznor (30): First times

And talking about headcanons, now this post.
