Running on River

A River Phoenix tumblr. My favourite actor ever.
Watching him since I was a child. Cried over him when I was 15. Forever a fangirl.
IF RIVER WERE A… COCKTAIL: 23 Here it is, my humble contribution to Rio-fandom (since I can’t make pretty drawings or good graphics/fics and… what can I say? alcohol is my thing xD). Ingredients: Licor 43 (60%), lapsang souchong (20%, two bags in order to taste more), vodka (20%, I used Absolut), a few drops of a vanilla concetrate, brown sugar, frozen mango pulp, stick cinnamon. Steps: Make the tea (4-5 min). Put it in the cocktail shaker along with the alcohols, sugar and mango ices. Pour on the glass. Glass: Margarita one. Decoration: Stick cinnamon. My reasons: For the alcohol & tea, linked above. The mango ices: I used this idea (with maracuya ones) on my Margarovitz and I liked it, don’t make it watered… besides it’s a fruit he loved, and make the cocktail no so transparent (I like that idea for him, golden and quite opaque/discrete too). For the glass: he’s not a cocktail/martini one, too “glamurous”, he’d not like it. I thought of a hurricane one (for the passion factor) and of an old-fashioned one (for the simplicity… but hey, he was and forever will be young), so my final choice is a “flower”, margarita one. For the decoration, same reason: sweet and simple, he would not wanted elaborated glass rimmings. And for the name: I didn’t find a wordplay with his name, and I’m using a alcohol with a number (43) so I named it with an obvious one. Notes: It’s sweet (I’m drinking it right now… oh, I know, too early xD) but also a hard combo. If you smoke, I think those mini-vanilla-cigars would be a good option/company. P.S: That black thing from behind is my Cora (she always comes when I cook or make cocktials in order to get something, but tsk tsk, you can’t drink, my little thing).
