2) What was the first River movie you saw?

I left this one for today ‘cause yesterday I was very tired (yeah, I sleep sometimes… shhhh, it’s a secret) and in a very R mode, and this one deserves innocence.

I kinda answered it here.They were “Explorers” and “Stand by me”. Probably “Explorers” first. I don’t remember the exactly year: I know when I was 11 or 12 I watched Star Trek TNG and then I already knew Wheaton from SBM, so I suppose it would be when I was 9 or 10 (years would be correct in relation with the time they used to wait to do them on TV those days) but fuck, I don’t remember the exactly age/year.

I was very young then and obviously not so… dirty minded as now (at 15-16 I was still quite innocent too) so first times with River was something similar to what theriverphoenixlegend told. I just saw him as:

1) Good actor. I always love cinema (I “heir” from my father and since child I watch a lot of movies) and that boy was a good one, he was not faking it, he was “living it”. Of course those days I thought this was more common, I mean, good actors would be like him, bad actors don’t, but I wasn’t really conscious of how few reach his levels.

2) Pretty boy. Not from a “dirty mind” PoV but a general one. It’s what I always tell you about he has a Universal/Artistic Beauty, like a waterfall or a exotic bird, for example. You can be young and see he is beautiful. You can be asexual and see he is beautiful. It’s not something strictly related with sexual thoughts.

3) The nerd, the engineer. Yeah, all girls loved Hawke in “Explorers”. And yeah, he’s gorgeous too. But I was the weird girl that loved the weird/geek/nerd one. I’ve always liked this type or the opposite (real BAMFs). Wolfgang was the one that thought&built that ship, and you know, I love Science Fiction since child and this was kinda my dream too (for that reason I love Star Trek too… and loved Wheaton there too).

4) The perfect friend. Chris Chambers was the perfect friend I needed those days and the perfect friend I have always wanted to be. I have Real/True Friends nowadays (and I love them with all my heart, they… have a lot of patience with me) but I’ve never been a “Chris Chambers”, meh.

Although I was young, I watched these movies too many times that are (in part) the causes of two of my fetishisms with him (or others): the finger porn thing in keyboards (again then in ROE’s piano and Sneakers) and the smoking fetish (a lot of other movies). I know Rio was not totally guilty of this last one (my father, you know) but… yeah, was my first “SF muse”.

Trivia: when sometimes I dream of him (unfortunately not sexual dreams, meh, why I never have sexual dreams with the guys I like?) he’s always with the appearence of SBM, Explorers or Mosquito, very young, short hair. I suppose it’s because I watched those movies being a child and even more times than the others, but it’s curious for me ‘cause you know my “perfect look” is a little bit older and long hair (Batman premiere).
