My three Big Ones are ROE, SBM and MOPI.
If I would have to choose only one, ROE.
But love all, even the not-so-good ones.
When you fell in love with River?
When I was a child, 9 or 10 I guess.
Watching Explorers and SBM, and Indy3 xD
Do you still miss him?
Every day of my fucking life.
I’m a very emotive person and when I “love” someone is forever.
I still crying sometimes (I’m such a baby… I know xD)
Do you like Aleka’s attic?
Yes, but I admit it’s not my type of music.
I’m more an industrial/electro/dark girl.
Aleka’s songs are kinda Beatles (tripping era xD) mixed with Nirvana.
I love them now, but I admit I had to “learn” to love them.
Loving his acting was a “natural” thing for me.
Loving his music was a learned one.
Are you a vegan/vegetarian?
Vegetarian.
Since almost two years.
River is not the “guilty” (here’s the one) but he was a big veg-inspiration.

Do you have more “obsessions” like River?
Cinema (in general).
And Trent Reznor (NIN).
Phoenix and Reznor are the only celebrities I’ve really been obsessed with (and still there, always will be).
Do you like River ‘cause he’s gorgeous?
Yeah, is one of the reasons.
He had a very uncommon Beauty (I talked about this here).
But the thing I love most of him, even over being handsome or a good person, is his acting.
Hollywod would never see again anything like him, I’m sure.
Why do you make so many grammar miskates/typos?
English is my second language.
And my English sucks.
I understand very well (reading & listening, especially USA accent) but writing and speaking is Hell on Earth.
BTW I’m half dyslexic or something like that (I do sometimes these things in Spanish too).
For that reason sometimes I comment mixing languages: it’s hard for me to express some thoughts in English (even in Spanish!).
Don’t blame me: River was dyslexic too and he sometimes mixed English&Spanish too, so… xD
Who do you consider his successors/heirs?
I’m doing a post series about this thing.
I know there will be never another “River Phoenix”, but I really enjoy searching for resemblances/paralellisms (in everything, and he is not an exception).
Who do you consider his influences?
He was a natural one, he didn’t “copy” anyone.
But I’ve always seen him as the child Marilyn Monroe and James Dean never had.
And he suffered better than Clift and cried better than Jennifer Jones.
He was, for me, “the last classic” one.
Any Rio-related kink/fetish?
WHOA! A lot.
He’s guilty of many of them.
Smoking fetish, barefoot, porn hair, collarbone, crying men…
Why do you say such a perverted things about River sometimes?
I have a VERY animal side, besides the sugary one.
And a pretty dirty mouth, I know.
Blame on a religious education.
And the books I read.
And the music I listen.
But you know I love/admire/respect the boy with all my little black heart.
It’s that… this is how I (sometimes) speak/write. This is how I am.
BTW he had a pretty dirty mouth too (and I love him for this xD)
Sincerely: I think he would have preferred the “I want to fuck you like an animal, I want to feel you from the inside” kind of things over the “oh, Rio, you’re so sweet and so gorgeous and I love you sooo!” ones. Really.
And finally: it’s my fucking tumblr and I do/write what I fucking want.

Are you a religious person?
Nope.
I use religious expressions sometimes but it just a way of speaking.
Quite atheist.
Cinema is my religion.
My Gods are Scorsese, Phoenix, Fincher, Nyman… a lot of them!

Yeah.
What do you think about his drugs issues?
All of us have addictions.
Been there, know that.
Genius have them… bigger.
He had more reasons to try to anesthetize himself than many of us together.
And I must admit I’m always been even fascinated with his need to experiencing ALL.
I kinda admire his dark side too.
But kids: don’t do this at home.

Don’t you think he was kinda liar/hypocrite?
Nope.
First of all, almost anyone admit in their works that they do drugs (if they do). It’s normal he didn’t admit in public too. It could have ended with his career: it was his work, his way of living and mantaining his family. For me it’s normal.
Second, I think of River as a person with a lot of dualities… there was Rio (in private) and River (in public), I even think sometimes Rio probably hated “River”. The “double life” was another of his dualities.
And third, he was not an “ordinary/usual” addict, he was the restriction/binge type one: this can make things difficult to see/admit even to yourself.
