I just talked now at telephone with my mother. She started talking about San Sebastián festival, with Maribel Verdú, so I confessed to her I didn’t know yet ‘cause yesterday I was more interested on Nederlands one, and I told her about Dark blood (never did before).
And she said “Ralph Fiennes?” and me “no, mother, River Phoenix”, and she “ah, the one you had pics when kid” and me “yes… you hated him a little bit, I know”, and she “no, poor little boy*… I didn’t hate him, it was just you suffered then because you were a bit obsessed”.
So hey, finally it seems my mother doesn’t hate him. That makes me happy, I’m like that… I’m a baby, hehe :´)
* Actually she said “pobrecito”. I never thought I could hear my mother saying that xD
Ah, although I’m a fucking atheist I also think that sometimes, the ones that said goodbye being there near me: my father, River, Isa and… no, that other one don’t, but those three, yes :´)
I can imagine him last night there, not waking me up, saying “sleep, girl, you really need it” :)
He, the sleeping beauty on screen and the saint of all insomniacs IRL, I like to think he takes care about us at night…
